Clayton Fire
The Clayton fire began August 15 at 6:03 p. m in Lake County California at hwy 29 Clayton Creek, and raged thru 3,929 acres and at the present time is said to be 90% contained, control lines continue to be strengthened and improved, firefighters are concentrating on fire suppression, repair and assisting returning homeowners. Damage inspection teams continue to survey the fire area to determine how many structures have been damaged or destroyed, 299 structures; including 189 single family homes, 8 commercial structures, and 102 other structures, such as smaller out buildings and sheds, as surveys are completed and additional data confirmed the number of structures damaged or destroyed may change.
The cause of the fire has been determined to be arson and Danon Pashilk has been arrested on at least 17 charges
It has so far taken 1,216 Fire personal, 69 Engines, 6 Helicopters, 12 Dozers and 17 wlWater 5)Tenders to get it this much under control
Blue Cut Fire
The Blue Cut Fire began on August 16th at 12:36 a. m. In the Cajon Pass along the Old Cajon Blvd. North of Kenwood Avenue west of Interstate -15, the Fire quickly lept across Canyon Creek and grew into the raging firestorm during the course of fighting the blaze rail road lines, local roads, Highway 138 and Interstate -15 were closed along with a large evacuation area which included Lytle Creek ,Wrightwood, Summit Valley, Bauldy Mesa, Phelaum and Oak Hills
The Fire currently is burning across 37,020 acres, and is 73% contained ,so far using 1,782 FirePersonal are one scene with 142 Engines, 46 Crews, 24 Dozers, 25 Water Tenders, 10 Air Tankers, 2(VLATS) Very Large Air Tankers and 9 Helicopters, including night flying Helicopters

UPDATE :The San Bernardo County Sheriff's Department has announced that residents from the Lytle Creek area will be let back into their properties, residents will be asked to show proof of residency in order to return.
Fire crews are getting the upper hand with the 58 square mile Blue Cut Fire in the Canon Pass, the fire now being 63% contained authorities are now saying.
Chimney Fire
The Chimney Fire began on August 13,in the County of San Luis Obispo, at Running Deer Rd. and Chimney Rock Rd. South of Lake Nacimiento, it has burned some 33,973 acres and is about 38% contained, there have 52 structures destroyed and another 7 damaged, with 1,898 structures threatened, amongst them one being the famous Hearst Castle. Evacuation orders are in effect for Christmas Cove, Oak Shores, North Shore Boat and Ski, Laguna Vista, South Shore, Lake Antonio, Sapaqua Valley and Bryson Hesperia Counties.
Any rincresidents which have not evacuated are asked to do so immediately due to the increasing fire activity in the immediate area, there has been one injury and the cause of the blaze is under investigation, equipment being used include Engines 311,Fire Crews104, AirTankers 7, Helicopters 17, Dozers 46, and Water Tenders 44.
UPDATE :Fire behavior has been extreme and currently burning thru Rocky Butte area and into Monterey County west of Lake San Antonio, threats remain to the Counties of Oak Shore, Christmas Cove, South Shore Village, Rancho Del Logo, Cal Shasta, Bryson Hesperia and Lake San Antonio, there are road closures and detours, fire personal are working round the clock to control and contain the fire. The threat on Hearst Castle continues to ease, however despite the reduced danger, tours at this famous landmark have been shut down for at least the next six days, to coincide with Cal Fire's expected containment date.
