Recycle Your Milk Bottles DIY Garden Trowel

Needed :

             1 empty milk bottle (plastic)

             1 pen

            1 matt knife or pair of scissors

            1 sheet sandpaper

Instructions :

Using your pen , draw an outline of your trowel , then using your scissors or matt knife and cut out the trowel ( as shown in picture) then using your sandpaper rub down the rough edges of your new milk bottle Garden Trowel

Potato Planter Box DIY

Needed materials for this project are :

6 two by six inch boards , eight feet long , 1 two inch by two inch twelve feet long , drill , 2 1/2 inch wood screws , potting soil , garden shovel

Cut the two by two boards into four lengths of eleven inches

Cut the two by six boards into 12 lengths of twenty one inches and 12 lehgths of twenty four inches

Pre drill the screws in the 2X6 boards and attach the bottom row on the two by two's

Place over prepared soil and fill with soft soil or mulch , planting potatoes four inches deep

When vines are about twelve inches above the soil , add another board , and fill with dirt , being careful not to cover more than one third of the plant , repeat this until your box is compleated

To harvest your potatoes , remove the screws from the bottom board , and carefully reach in to harvest potatoes.

 

 

Window Pane Glass Houses DIY

Needed :

             2 used unbroken windows

             1 planter box

             5 shingle strips

            assorted plants

            1 bag potting soil

            1 hammer

            1/2 inch nails

Instructions :

Tent the 2 windows over your planter box , using your strips of wood nail them to the top of windows , be sure to nail strips to both windows to connect them , balance your window tent atop the planter box , and afix with nails if possiable , plant your plants inside

 

Tire Pond DIY

Needed :

            1 discarded automobile tire

            1 Garden shovel

            1 large tarpauline

            1 large bag quick cement

            Assorted paving tiles or stones

            1 solar water pump **( find at Garden/Pool stores)

Instructions :

Dig a hole , slightly larger than your tire , and slightly deeper than height of tire , insert your tire into your hole , then place your tarpauline in and weight it down , while using some of your cement line your pond on the inside and inside walls ( leaving room for wires for solar pump) , then place your tiles around the top and cement them in place , place tiles and or rocks around the side of outside of tire , once pond is dry , fill with water and make sure pump is working , surround with decorative plants and you may even fill with fish such as pond koi (these goldfish may be gotten at some pet stores) ***( note if you decide to place fish in your pond , you may wish to get some screening to cover) this  step helps to keep birds from fishing in your pond
