Storage Of Your Bottles

Cupboard Cellar :

If you don't have a Basement or an Undrground Cellar , You may make a simple one out of an ordinary kitchen cupboard , in storing your bottles they should be placed on their sides , and because of sediment in bottles , they should be periodically rotatedb, if you fail to rotate your bottles  the sediment may cause your wine to have a bitter taste
Temperature :
Your ideal temperature is between 48°and 55° F or ( 8.8-12.2 celsius) and your storage site should be darkened , your wine shall keep better when in these conditions than kept out on your counter top

Poor Rain Fall May Cause Bad Year For Grapes

Napa vintner's fear this years possiable Drought will harm this years vintage , if rain fails to fall ,the grapes will be nothing but raisins , rather useless for pressing into fine vintage wines this region is so well known for, with the snow pack barely 12 % of normal and lake level way down , wine makers fear a drought maybe as bad as was seen more than three decades ago , back in 76' , grape growers also fear the possability of their water being rationed , as it stands the wine grape growers at this time will have to use only well or recycled water , to date they have had only 2 inches of a normally 60 inch rain fall,so 2014 may turn out to be a poor vintage year for wines from Northern California

A bit of the Islands

Tedeshki Winery Located on the isle of Maui ,

" What ?" you might say at first seeing the lable ," wine is made from Grapes not Pineapple" You'll say to yourself , but THIS wine is indeed made from Pineapples grown right on the grounds of the winery itself,
and like most winerey's of the California's Napa Valley, this too has tastings available to the public ,
selling not only their wines but also special cooler tote bags which hold , not 1 but 2 of their btls of wine, the bag also comes with a pocket built into the bag , and comes with a jell style freeze pack,
for use if you wish to take your btl. out with you the next time you go to the Beach or the park for an Picnic,or next time you take your boat out on the Bay,the jell pak will keep your btls. chilled to just the right temperture.
This wine pairs well with cheeses ,
as well as  Biscuts such as Carr's Table water crackers or Mcvities Oat cakes,
it is slightly acidic, but not too harsh on the pallette.
So the next time your in the islands , be sure to be on the look out , or if your on Maui stop by the winery for a sample before you buy.
